ANA is headquartered in Henderson, Nevada, with locations in Cypress, California, and Spartanburg, South Carolina. ANA is growing and scaling, and we are seeking an Assembly Lead – Hybrid Power Systems to join our growing team in an onsite position in Henderson, Nevada.

As the Assembly Lead – Hybrid Power Systems, you will spearhead the production of advanced hybrid generator systems. This role is designed for a highly skilled technician who thrives in a high-level technical environment. You will not have access to step-by-step pictorial manuals; instead, you will rely on your ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics to build complex systems from the ground up.

As the Lead, you are responsible for the physical integration of engines, generators, and power electronics, establishing the assembly logic and ensuring the mechanical and electrical integrity of every unit that leaves the floor.

This position is fully onsite, and the work schedule is weekdays from 7:00 am – 3:45 pm. This role reports to the Plant Supervisor.

Role & Responsibilities:

    Cross-Functional Coordination:
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with Inventory Control, Planning, Purchasing, and Engineering.
  • Serve as the primary floor liaison to ensure parts are staged, schedules are realistic, and technical roadblocks are cleared to keep builds proceeding according to schedule.
  • Design Navigation:

  • Work directly from mechanical drawings, CAD screenshots, electrical component drawings, and electrical schematics to determine the most efficient and reliable assembly sequence.
  • Mechanical Integration:

  • Lead the precision mounting of internal combustion engines and generators, focusing on critical alignments, vibration dampening, and drivetrain coupling.
  • Hybrid System Wiring:

  • Oversee the routing and termination of high-voltage AC/DC cabling and control harnesses.
  • Ensure all connections are secure, shielded, and compliant with power generation standards.
  • First-Article Development:

  • Take the lead on new builds or prototypes, documenting the assembly process and creating the "blueprint" for the production team to follow.
  • On-the-Fly Troubleshooting:

  • Resolve fitment issues or electrical discrepancies during the build.
  • Serve as the primary link to the Engineering team to report design improvements or necessary field modifications.
  • Quality & Mentorship:

  • Supervise a team of assemblers, performing final walk-throughs and functional checks to ensure every hybrid unit meets rigorous performance specifications.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Technical Experience: 5+ years in diesel-powered heavy equipment or power generation assembly, with a proven track record of leading a crew.
  • Schematic Proficiency: Exceptional ability to read and interpret complex mechanical designs and wiring diagrams without granular "instruction book" support.
  • Mechanical Equipment Knowledge: Strong understanding of how engines, transmissions, and power conversion components interface mechanically and electrically.
  • Precision Assembly: Expert-level use of torque tools, alignment gauges, and electrical testing equipment (e.g., multimeters).
  • Adaptability: A proactive problem-solver who can visualize the final product and navigate assembly challenges independently.
  • Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with engine-driven generator sets or industrial motor controls.
  • Familiarity with cooling system plumbing and exhaust routing for Tier-rated engines.
  • Basic fabrication skills to handle minor bracket or component adjustments during the integration phase.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to differentiate between colored wires and components.
  • Must adapt to varying temperature conditions in the workplace.
  • Required personal protective equipment includes steel-toe shoes, gloves, and safety glasses.
