Role Overview / Purpose and Scope
The Jack Driver supports daily plant operations by safely and efficiently moving product in and out of coolers, freezers, and designated production areas using electric and manual pallet jacks. This role helps maintain product flow, supports production schedules, and assists with daily maintenance tasks, special projects, and basic equipment repairs, installations, adjustments, parts replacement, and routine and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate electric and manual pallet jacks to move product in and out of coolers, freezers, production areas, and other designated plant locations.
Stage, transport, and organize product to support production flow, cooler/freezer organization, and timely movement of materials throughout the plant.
Perform daily equipment checks and report safety, quality, maintenance, or product concerns to the Production Supervisor or appropriate team member.
Assist with daily maintenance tasks, special projects, and routine or preventative maintenance activities as assigned.
Support repairs, installations, adjustments, and parts replacement for machinery and equipment within the scope of the role.
Follow all company safety, food safety, quality, sanitation, GMP, PPE, and production-floor requirements.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, including travel paths, staging areas, coolers, and freezers.
Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, warehouse, and supervisory team members to coordinate product movement and resolve issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation
Compensation: $18.50/hr.

Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to occasionally lift to 50 lbs
Ability to learn and perform a variety of duties in a poultry production environment.
Available to work assigned shifts, including overtime and weekends, as required.
Ability to follow safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), company policies, and departmental procedures.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
Related production, manufacturing, food processing, poultry processing, warehouse, or general labor experience.
Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
Willingness to work in different production areas based on business needs.
New team members must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening post-offer and prior to the start of their employment. Must be authorized to work in the United States. The Immigration Reform and Control Act requires that verification of employment eligibility be documented for all new employees by the end of their third day of work.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel
Work is performed on-site in a plant production environment, including coolers, freezers, staging areas, and production-floor locations. The role requires regular use of electric and manual pallet jacks, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and working in cold, wet, noisy, and fast-paced conditions. Team members must follow all required PPE, safety, sanitation, food safety, and quality procedures. No regular travel is required.
