Role Description:

The Vice President of Offshore Energy Business Development will strategically expand Ocean Aero's footprint with Offshore Energy customers (both Oil & Gas and Offshore Wind) around the globe. The VP of Offshore Energy Business Development will work closely to identify, engage, and work with those customers to expand Ocean Aero Triton utilization to solve their critical challenges around the globe.

This role will report to the Global Head of Offshore Energy for Ocean Aero.

Role Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this role is to close purchase orders for the company. All other responsibilities stem from that primary focus.

Additional responsibilities include:

Sales Cycle Management

  • Overseeing the entire sales cycle, from initial contact through contract negotiation to secure purchase orders
  • Demonstrating a high level of creativity in crafting solutions that meet the unique needs of diverse international clients
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction

Market Expansion

  • Leading and implementing strategic initiatives to expand Ocean Aero's market presence across the globe
  • Developing and executing comprehensive business development plans to achieve sales targets and objectives
  • Identifying emerging markets, assessing competitive landscapes, and capitalizing on opportunities for growth

Strategic Planning

  • Developing and implementing strategic business plans aligned with Ocean Aero's objectives
  • Identifying and capitalizing on emerging opportunities in the offshore energy sector
  • Conducting thorough market research to inform strategic decision-making

Role Requirements:

In addition to a minimum of 10 years of Offshore Energy business development experience, the role seeks a candidate with a passion for pioneering advancements. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is highly valued, reflecting a commitment to continuous learning and strategic thinking. Exceptional networking, relationship-building, and communication skills are essential for establishing Ocean Aero as the undisputed leader in maritime drone technology.

  • Ability to travel internationally required.
  • Successfully pass drug test, background check, and motor vehicle screening
