The Director of Analytics is a master of meaningful data consumption, storage, and utilization — spanning predictive modeling, quality and outcomes reporting, customer empathy, and forward-thinking business development. This role will aid Pyx Health on its path of growth and continuous improvement. Both individually and as the leader of a team, the Director of Analytics will continually discover meaningful insights and inform important decisions using Pyx Health’s rich data, their own technical and business expertise, and strong cross-functional and industry-wide relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Partnership: Partner with Pyx Health leadership and others across the company, as well as external stakeholders, to understand and prioritize questions and problems. Analyze data in conjunction with business goals to identify both successes and opportunities.
Team Leadership & Development: Manage, develop, and mentor a highly skilled team of analysts. Ensure team members are supported in delivering high-quality, impactful work while being challenged to grow professionally.
Analytics Practice Development: Advance analytics team practices, processes, and documentation. Build upon tools and infrastructure in partnership with the data engineering team to establish a scalable, well-governed analytics foundation.
Stakeholder Engagement: Lead and support various internal and external meetings, consortiums, and stakeholder discussions with a data-driven approach. Break down complex topics into clear, accessible narratives for audiences with diverse perspectives.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Drive Pyx’s AI-ready analytics strategy: certify and operationalize Databricks Gold-layer data products for AI agents, partner on governed data access patterns, and uphold responsible AI standards (policy, review, monitoring) for any member-facing or generative AI capabilities. Encourage experimentation, risk-taking, and innovation within the analytics team. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and leave every process, tool, and dataset better than you found it.
Hands-On Data Problem Solving: Work hands-on to solve complex data problems and provide guidance to the team at higher levels of data operations. Complete projects of high complexity independently while also enabling and elevating others.
Cross-Functional Direction & Accountability: Provide direction to team and peers by collaborating with others, articulating ideas and viewpoints to management, identifying and initiating projects, managing resources, driving the resolution of issues, and holding self and team accountable for results.
