We are seeking a Controls Engineer to join a rapidly growing manufacturing and engineering organization specializing in industrial machinery and large-scale infrastructure solutions. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and program controls systems for new industrial machine designs
  • Write PLC logic and develop electrical schematics from scratch
  • Build and refine controls architecture for custom machinery
  • Release drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation to manufacturing
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support production and machine functionality
  • Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of Controls Engineering experience in industrial machinery or machine controls environments
  • Strong PLC programming and electrical design experience
  • Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLC platforms
  • Ability to develop controls systems for new machine builds
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with servo drives or motion control systems
  • Background in new product development
  • Validation testing or continuous improvement experience
  • BSEE degree or equivalent hands-on experience

Location: Itasca, IL

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation: Around $120K+ depending on experience
