The Mobile Operations & Tech Manager oversees daily production at mobile facilities while delivering technical maintenance and repair support for Sojo’s industrial packaging equipment. This role is accountable for driving production performance, optimizing staffing, ensuring equipment reliability, and maintaining strict adherence to GMP and safety standards at customer sites nationwide.

Reporting directly to the Mobile VP of Operations, the position requires a hands-on leader with proven operational management experience and strong technical expertise in equipment maintenance.

  • National mobile operations support, with approximately 80% travel, as needed
  • Support new line launches and restarts.
  • Ensure SOP compliance and confirm equipment setup meets engineering standards.
  • Lead pre-shift planning sessions to align teams and resources.
  • Consistently implement and reinforce operational best practices.
  • Manage ERP and WMS functions, including inventory transactions (PO receiving, SO processing, builds, and scrap tracking).
  • Maintain accurate labor tracking for staffing agency invoice reconciliation.
  • Train production teams across all job functions (dekitting, loading, machine ops, QC checks, palletizing, forklift operation etc.).
  • Order warehouse supplies and oversee spare parts, consumables, and packaging inventory.
  • Ensure adherence to GMPs, safety policies, and local site compliance.
  • Certified to operate Forklift.
  • Lead the equipment reliability reviews for Manna.
  • Create and distribute troubleshooting guides for Mobile Ops equipment.
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs to improve capability.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electromechanical packaging equipment, compressors, tray formers, and other related machinery.
  • Diagnose equipment issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective solutions.
  • Install modifications, system upgrades, and replacement parts in line with company standards.
  • Maintain maintenance and repair records, preventive maintenance logs, and service documentation.
  • Perform welding, fabrication, and minor electrical work as required.
  • Support OEM oversight, FAT procedures, and equipment setup at customer sites.
  • All other tasks as assigned.
