ROLE OVERVIEW

Sojo Industries is seeking a highly strategic, tech-savvy and meticulous Sr. Vice President of

Accounting to lead our financial operations. Reporting directly to the Co-Founder and CFO, you will be responsible for the integrity of our financial data, the efficiency of our accounting processes, and the safeguarding of company financial and operating assets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with industry standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit process, ensuring all financial records are in order for review and audits are completed in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for all tax-related matters, including proper application of sales and use tax for purchases and sales, as well as oversight of all tax preparation duties and filing requirements.
  • Responsible for all receivable and payable invoicing and processing, credit evaluations, and collections.
  • Responsible for Treasury functions and banking relationships.
  • Implement and oversee financial systems, processes, and controls to safeguard company assets and ensure integrity of financial data.
  • Improve process efficiency through automation.
  • Payroll processing.
  • All other duties assigned by the CFO.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Public Accounting Certification
  • Proven track record in senior accounting leadership, ideally within the manufacturing or logistics sectors.
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment with a focus on data integrity and professional standards.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with executive leadership and distill complex financial data into actionable business insights.
  • Experience with leading or supporting corporate financings and transactions.
