Sojo Industries (“Sojo“) is a fast-growing national industrial automation company that utilizes robotics, mobility, and software to deliver efficient packaging and assembly solutions to the food and beverage industry.
Sojo Flight, Sojo utilizes it's proprietary mobile manufacturing offering to eliminate freight costs, labor costs, packaging costs and harmful emissions by delivering on-site packaging services. Sojo has also developed its own proprietary blockchain-based track and trace software platform, Sojo Shield, which utilizes sophisticated data capture and geo-location technologies to enable customers to comply with federally mandated food safety requirements.
Sojo manages a national footprint of bricks and mortar facilities across the country in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, California and Texas and maintains mobile manufacturing sites in Indiana, Colorado and Utah. All locations rely on high-speed automated lines that support a variety of packaging materials such as registered shrink, top loaded boxes, and side loaded cartons to name a few and incorporate robotics into the assembly process.
The Sojo team is comprised of seasoned executives and operators from the food and beverage industry, and customers include Fortune 500 brands, distributors, and manufacturers.
The person in this position must be able to perform efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse and dispatch environment by handling incoming and outgoing deliveries. Duties include processing all trucking activity, including dock appointments, driver information and verification, accurate input of goods received into Sojo’s WMS, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations and documenting/reporting/handling freight-related damages to inventory team members.
Responsibilities:
- Must be proficient using a WMS Scan gun; accurate input into WMS
- Check in and out drivers - maintain logs, maintain shipping/receiving schedules
- Maintain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages within the company
- Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis
- Keep all BOL documents in an organized manner for all Outbound Sales Orders and Inbound Purchase Orders by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
- Escalate errors or discrepancies on any Inbound BOL’s or Outbound BOL’s
- Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems (doors, locks)
- Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them
- Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods
- Record order details on the computer system
- Process inbound and outbound Sojo shipments to and from customers and suppliers
- Monitor desk and processing supplies inventory and order more units as needed
- Keep the warehouse and dock areas clean and neat at all times
- Support the warehouse forklift operators in any load containment exercises (airbags, bulkhead, freeze protection blankets, dunnage, etc.)
- All other tasks as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Warehouse Management Systems or ERP experience highly desired; NetSuite is preferred
- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), packing lists, commercial invoices, and manifest logs preferred
- Possesses effective written and verbal communications skills
- Possesses effective reading comprehension skills
- Strong communication skills for delivering clear and concise instructions
- Fluency in English is required, and Spanish is a plus
- Computer and database application skills – Microsoft Office applications experience required
- Sit-down Forklift (LP & Electric) experience is highly desired
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at the same time without stress
- Ability to stand, walk and use hands continuously during and up to 10–12-hour shift
- Good hand and eye coordination required

They will be required to navigate within the warehouse to operate machinery and utilize other equipment. The associates must be able to endure long periods of standing and may occasionally need to walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
