The Logistics Coordinator owns the daily dock schedule at Sojo Industries' Langhorne facility, managing inbound and outbound shipping and receiving appointments through the Open Dock platform. This role is the connective tissue between production, warehouse, and planning teams
— ensuring repack WIP arrives on schedule to keep production running, and that customers can secure the dock appointments they need to deliver WIP and ship finished goods on time. Success in this role means a dock schedule that runs smoothly, few conflicts or delays, and strong day-to-day communication across every team that touches the dock.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the daily Open Dock platform schedule, coordinating inbound and outbound appointment slots across all shipping and receiving doors.
- Work directly with production and planning to schedule inbound repack WIP deliveries, ensuring materials arrive on time to keep production lines running.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to schedule outbound finished goods shipments, confirming dock availability aligns with customer pickup and delivery windows.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and carriers requesting dock appointments, resolving scheduling conflicts and confirming appointment details.
- Maintain daily communication with production, warehouse, and planning to align on priorities, changes in production schedules, and shifting delivery needs.
- Track dock appointment compliance and utilization, flag scheduling conflicts or delays early, and report recurring issues to operations leadership.
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Scheduling experience — background in logistics, dock scheduling, dispatch, or transportation coordination.

Nice to Have:
- Direct experience with Open Dock or a similar dock/appointment scheduling platform.
- Experience in a warehouse management system (WMS) environment, such as Manhattan.
- Prior experience in contract manufacturing, co-packing, or 3PL operations.
- Familiarity with inbound/outbound freight coordination in a high-SKU environment.
Physical & Work Environment:
- Primarily an office/desk-based role within a warehouse and production facility.
- Requires regular walking to and from dock and warehouse areas to coordinate with teams in person.
- Standard business hours, with occasional early morning or evening coordination depending on shift coverage needs.
- Exposure to a warehouse environment — moderate noise, forklift traffic, and varying temperatures near dock doors.
- Occasional light lifting (up to 15–20 lbs).
- Primary work environment includes both an office setting and regular active presence on the warehouse floor.
